Paediatric European Digestive Diseases
Clinical Research Network

Project Objectives

The purpose of this project is to build a network to provide fast and reliable expert advice for industry and for those working with industry. The network would provide an opportunity to establish and support non-industry collaborative studies. The partners involved in the network would be able to influence the development of protocols, including PIPs at an early stage. With partners from across various nations it will be easier to identify suitable sites for facilitating as well as supporting and planning the feasibility of clinical trials.

Data from current clinical trials in the area of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is limited and by collaborating with other institutions PEDDCReN hope to reach a consensus in outcomes and treatment options.

PEDDCReN will be a collaboration of research and medical institutions as well as cooperation from industry partners. The network currently has funding for two years and additional financial support is being sought to fund the project after October 2014.
