During ESPGHAN 2014, Israel

The second face-to-face PEDDCReN project meeting took place in Israel along with it's first Working Group meeting and participation in an ESPGHAN Symposium on Multi-centre Clinical Research.

Preparations for the Working Group meetings and Symposium to be held during ESPGHAN 2014.

January 2014

This was a busy month for PEDDCReN.

A written report was submitted to UEG in early January and then an oral presentation was made at the UEG meeting in Vienna, Austria later on in the month.

The PEDDCReN abstract was shortlisted by BSPGHAN for a poster presentation that was delivered by Dr Nicholas Croft at the end of January.

December 2013

The next phase of the REDCap survey distribution was sent out to Ireland and The Netherlands via PEDDCReN partner Societies in these countries; (ISGE (Irish Society of Gastroenterology), NVK (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Gastroenterologie (Dutch Society of Gastroenterology))).

PEDDCReN are on twitter and gaining a good number of followers.

October 2013

The first oral report is presented at the UEG NSC meeting in Berlin, Germany and a number of institutions subsequently contact PEDDCReN Project Manager after seeing the PEDDCReN leaftlet that was distributed at the meeting.

The first phase of the REDCap survey was sent out to the UK via BSPGHAN and BSG

New industry contacts made with a number of organisations expressing an interest to work with PEDDCReN.

June 2013

Promotions in BSG, BSPGHAN, UEG and ESPGHAN Newsletters and websites resulted in an increase in interest in the survey and the PEDDCReN Project team received requests to participate in the survey from various newer European nations.

May 2013

The first face-to-face PEDDCReN project meeting takes place during ESPGHAN’s 46th Annual Meeting. The meeting was very successful and the team were happy to welcome input from Professor Annamaria Staiano of University Federico II (representative for Prof. Ricardo Troncone –ESPGHAN 2013 President) and Dr. Valarie McLin of Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève (ESPGHAN Heptology Network Group).

PEDDCReN submit their first Project report to UEG and BSG for their support.

April 2013

A new Project Manager (Varsha Tailor) is taken on and work begins on preparing for the first face-to-face project meeting as well as scheduling regular teleconferences. Contact is made with a number of institutions who are interested in PEDDCReN and taking part in the survey.
